These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Varsity Voyages website and our group and individual travel planning services. By using our site or booking travel with us, you agree to these Terms.
Who We Are
Varsity Voyages, a brand of River and Vine Travel, (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a travel advisor that plans and arranges travel services provided by independent suppliers such as cruise lines, tour operators, hotels, and transportation companies.
Role as Intermediary
We act as an intermediary between you and the travel suppliers. All travel services are subject to the terms, conditions, and liability limits of those suppliers. We are not responsible for acts or omissions of suppliers, including schedule changes, cancellations, or service issues.
Booking and Payment
When you confirm a trip proposal, you agree that:
- You have reviewed the itinerary, pricing, and supplier terms.
- You authorize us and the suppliers to process payments using the payment details you provide.
- Deposits and final payments are due by the dates stated on your invoice or trip proposal.
Failure to make payments on time may result in cancellation of your booking, subject to supplier fees.
Cancellations and Changes
Cancellation and change fees may apply from:
- The travel suppliers (cruise lines, tour operators, airlines, hotels).
- Varsity Voyages, if a planning or change fee is disclosed in advance.
Refunds, if any, are subject to the supplier’s policies. Some bookings are non-refundable or may only be partially refundable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to help protect against covered cancellation and interruption events.
Traveler Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate legal names, dates of birth, contact details, and payment information.
- Reviewing all confirmations and documents immediately and notifying us of any errors.
- Meeting passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements for all destinations.
If you fail to meet documentation or entry requirements, any resulting costs or losses are your responsibility.
Health, Safety, and Risks
Travel may involve risks, including illness, injury, delays, or disruptions due to weather, strikes, political events, or other circumstances beyond our control. By booking travel, you accept these risks and agree that you are fit to participate in the trip activities you select.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Varsity Voyages is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense caused by any act or omission of any supplier or other third party, or by events beyond our control.
Our total liability, if any, for claims arising out of or related to your bookings is limited to the amount of service fees you paid directly to Varsity Voyages.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to help cover risks such as trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation, and baggage loss, subject to the policy terms.
You are responsible for reviewing the insurance policy and contacting the insurer with coverage questions.
Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its security, functionality, or other users.
All content on the site, including text, logos, and images, is owned by or licensed to Varsity Voyages and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or province where Varsity Voyages is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your bookings will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
